Solace Pediatric Healthcare is proud to announce that Shannon Brooks has been named VP of Education and Training.

A physical therapist by trade, Brooks has served as Regional Director of Education and Training since 2021. She directed overall clinical team development, training and onboarding which starts with clinical interviewing and continues throughout an employee’s experience at Solace; worked closely with therapy services to ensure optimal clinical processes and operational effectiveness; provided leadership, oversight and mentoring; and collaborated with multiple departments in the development of strategies related to operational needs, hiring, retention, leadership development, and strategic initiatives of the organization.

“I couldn’t be more excited for this opportunity to continue my journey in this new capacity to further broaden our educational and training offerings for all of our audiences. My ultimate goal is to help deliver an exceptional employment experience by developing team members, refining our curriculum development, and leveraging a variety of platforms to enhance our content offerings for onboarding and training so that all stakeholders feel connected to and empowered to further our mission of helping children and families live their best lives.”

A member of the Solace team since 2008, Brooks has held a variety of leadership roles, including Clinical Team Development Manager, Manager of Clinical Training and Onboarding Support, Clinical Mentor and Competency Coordinator.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree (with honors) in Human Biology from the University of Kansas, and her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO.

Outside of work, Shannon’s other activities and passions include living a full Colorado life with her family – hiking, skiing, paddle boarding and tennis! She also volunteers at the Food for Thought and supports an organization dedicated to furthering educational opportunities for women.
