State-funded program helps family members become paid caregivers

At Solace Pediatric Healthcare, we believe no one makes a better caregiver than a loved one, and we’re here to equip you with the necessary tools to deliver that care. Our Family Caregiver programs allow family members (caregivers) the opportunity to earn an income for the care they provide in the home.

Both programs, Family CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) and In-Home Support Services (IHSS), generate employment for the caregiver while also providing the patient with the highest quality care.

These programs are FREE. Schedule a brief assessment with Solace. If eligible, we will send a registered nurse to your home. Upon completion of requirements to become a paid caregiver, the family member begins receiving weekly compensation and benefits.

Family CNA Program

This program allows caregivers in the home to become licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and earn an income working with their loved one. Patient qualifiers include a long-term diagnosis requiring daily care, and a Medicaid benefit that we’re happy to help families apply for!

This program is FREE! Call us today to learn about obtaining your clinical license and joining our Solace team!

STEP 1:  Call and schedule a brief assessment for your child with Solace.

STEP 2:  Solace will send a registered nurse to your home to determine qualification.

STEP 3:  If eligible, Solace will enroll you in a self-paced CNA course, FREE of charge. You have the option of online or in-person classes to earn your CNA license in as quickly as three weeks.

STEP 4:  Achieve your CNA license, attend a brief orientation and become a Solace employee.

STEP 5:  Employees will be paid weekly for their care and receive Solace benefits.

In-Home Support Services (IHSS)

IHSS is another program allowing family members (caregivers) to receive in-home training with a Solace registered nurse and earn income caring for their loved one.

This program is FREE! Call us today to learn about obtaining your clinical license and joining our Solace team!

IHSS is only available to those on specific Medicaid waivers. These waivers are an extended set of Health First Colorado’s benefits that an individual may qualify for in certain cases. There are four waivers that exist for children in Colorado, but the child must be enrolled in the CHCBS waiver (Children’s Home and Community Based Services). Call us today to learn more about the IHSS program and how to get started!

STEP 1: Call and schedule a brief assessment for your child with Solace.

STEP 2:: If eligible, Solace will partner with you to ensure all requirements for participation are met.

STEP 3:  You will attend a brief orientation, receive in-home training with a Solace registered nurse, and become a Solace employee.

STEP 4:  Employees will be paid weekly for their care and receive Solace benefits.
